I have no clue what I want to say for Freebie Friday, so I'll just spew out some thoughts:
We're having people over tonight, and as of right now, I don't feel in the mood.. my cold isn't quite gone, and that is a huge pet peeve of mine: not feeling I am functioning at 100%. I detest being ill in any capacity. I also detest crying because I hate when I am crying and I can't talk correctly. Those are my two biggest pet peeves. Also, I am starting to dislike people that can't make plans.. people that have to be spontaneous all the time. I knew someone once who wouldn't make plans with a group of us fun ladies because she had to wait to see what her bf was going to be doing that night. She was Whipped. Now, it's not that I am against spontaneity.. far from it (I have dropped things in 3.8 seconds to go somewhere or do something else with people.. no problem).. but people that are dependent on others.. maybe that's where my pet peeve lies. Yup. I dislike dependent people. They are rarely planners unless the one they are dependent on is a planner...

Erg.

Anyone else have weird pet peeves?

Ooooh, yea, mute buttons. Too bad people don't have a mute button. God should've created that option on humans as well as brain switches for when we don't want to think for awhile.

I'm thankful today for:
>Getting a whole bunch of stuff done last night so I can send off resumes today in nice envelopes.
>Sleeping in.
>Jay Leno's show last night.. I think it was a repeat, but he had a 3 month old bear and cougar on and they were SO cute wrestling around.
>Special K bars. They are very good.
>My sis, Rob, thinking of me for this radio survey so I get $4 to do it.

I'm not thankful for this weather, however, but I'll be patient.

Wednesday. Huh.
Well, the last few nights (Monday and Tuesday) I have jumped on the wagon of celebrating the end of the year with a few drinks here and there. Lots of people are graduating, and man, that stinks! Many cool people I know are leaving this weekend if not next week to start lives somewhere else. Sarah is leaving for Iowa State.. Kristi for Lakeville... KT for the cities.. Amy and Paul already left for Denver... C-Dawg for Williston.. my brother, even, for home (Wahpeton). Erg.

Everyone should stay put because I said so. That reason needs to have more power, if you ask me. [but no one does because they are all too BUSY leaving]

I really, really wish I was teaching this summer. Or at least writing for some place. Erg. And, I think I am coming down with a cold. I am in a down mood. Some Dayquil and a nap SHOULD cure that.

Manic Monday

So it's just another Manic Monday and I accidentally hit my windows key so the whole screen suddenly collapsed on me. My eye brows went vertical in horror at the thought that I may have lost all that I haven't yet written.

I love the new blogger especially the preview feature. I am having a slight problem with it though, one of the bars on top isn't drawing correctly; the buttons are drawing correctly though so it's not a big deal.

Last night I discovered that the Smashing Pumpkins released their last CD onto the internet for free, the distressing part about it is that they sent it out to people on 25 vinyl lps and those people ripped the songs off the lps with varying results, some good some bad. If anybody out there knows where I can find superb versions of the songs on this album I will love you long time.

Thank you that is the end of my Manic Monday. Time for me to go study for finals now and I will keep all of you who are now approaching finals in my prayers.

God Bless

Whoa. Blogger changed up their stuff. Whoa. Now if they'd make it possible to search by people who posted!

Since I am up and it's technically Monday, I am giving Manic Monday an early whirl of fun:
Job searches suck. I'm glad to be 98% done with grading. My sis is taking forever on her article for the summer issue! Why does the world revolve around money? (We'd all like to think LOVE is it.. but really?) Just emailed my Texan buddy from the conference.. [Hi Alex!] and she's sending me a CD of good stuff. Stuff you'd dig Charles.

That's all that my madness contains today. Maybe more will pour out of me tomorrow morning.
