Rrrrrr.... Poof. Poof.
Although my car is low I plowed through EVERYTHING on Monday night taking my honey out to Paradiso for his birthday. Plus we saw The Last Samari. Not a bad evening, but I stressed while driving. I talk to myself when I stress out. "Okay baby, you can do it. It's not a BIG snowhill." Bf says: "If you back up and take a run at it, she'll make it through." And she did. I didn't get 'er stuck until we got home.. in the driveway. LEAVE it to ME to do THAT. She's a cute little movable igloo. Yes, I am obsessed with my car, Macs, and blogging. We all have our oddities. (Why is my car a female?)

And thank you, David, for your therapeutic advice (especially on writing the T-word). And thank you, Chelsea, for blogging and your feedback on class. I really appreciate it. If you drop off blogging on "here," (which will make me sad, honestly) I hope you keep up your personal one. That seems to be your fav. Stick with doing things that make you happy. Hm, that sounds like a New Year's Resolution for me... ooooh.

So, for Christmas (or whatever holiday YOU celebrate) should I think of giving us the gift of Blogger Pro for the RSS feed.. (with tiny donations from ya'll?).. etc. I am trying to patiently add a free commenting service, but we seem to be the only ones that care to comment on each other's stuff. BUT I have been proven incorrectly MANY times before.

Dear Santa, I would like... an iPod, Sarah Jessica Parker (or all the Sex and the City gals) posters and photos, a guaranteed teaching job forever, Uggs (is that how you spell those weird new boots?), and mittens that fit my fingers. Ooh, and a Leatherman Scout.

Check you all later. Hopefully tomorrow, but definitely next week.
Peace, take it easy, be cool, and hibernate.
About Saddam.
punish him to the fullest extent of the law, but show a little class. There is more on the line here for America than military intelligence.

Been thinking a bit about Iraqi situation as compared to the Native American assimilation. Didn't we bring freedom, advancement, and a better way of life to the Native Americans? Did we save them from their primitive forms of government and do them a favor by bringing them into the modern world? Anybody have any thoughts?

Alright Sybil here's my two cents on your problems(lucky for you despite my poor college student status I still have two cents to share):

1. For many males(as a I am one) writing is often seen as a feminine act, especially in the way journaling. Also for many anything involving technology is frightening so it is usually convenient to just avoid it as much as possible. I've seen people use blackboard before that get so frustrated with just the login that they have to be encouraged just to attempt to login again. Blogging, too many, is something new which makes it seems even more difficult to understand technology wise. I also think that many people aren't sure what to do with it because they more than likely don't have friends that blog and haven't spent much time reading other peoples blogs. I guess there really are numerous fears that go along with new things and fear can be a difficult barrier to break down.

2. Can you raise your car of the ground just a little bit. You drive a VW bug, correct? Hmm I don't really know much about cars but if I remember bugs don't have much ground clearance and I'm really not sure what raising a car of the ground involves. I'd recommend going to a trusted a mechanic, Northwest Autobody(I'm not sure if they can help with this particular problem or not), or the dealer.

3. In writing your thesis I'd recommend throwing ideas down on paper as you get them then coming back and organizing them. The write 4 pages a day over ten days sounds like an excellent idea in theory, but in practice you may fall short. Just don't beat yourself up if you fall behind because then writing will become a progressively heavier burden.

4. I will most definitely be blogging over the holidays.

5. Still have to find Osama Bin Laden, proof of weapons of mass destruction, and ensure that the current governing body of Iraq will be able to hold itself together after the U.S. leaves. Too often has the U.S. not given proper support to nations it is attempting to aid. That is one of the reasons Saddam came into power in the first place. It is one of the reasons if I remember correctly anyway. Still are troops have done something significant and this will definitely shorten their stay in Iraq.

Jeremiah: I would like to meet with others on the Bisonblog as well. Were you thinking of something over the break? or wait until next semester? If we waited until next semester I'm sure more people would be able to make it.

I have a calc final to study for and actually I need to go take a shower because I'm supposed to meet Jenilee for lunch at noon(in 15 minutes oops ;P).

Did I say definitely way too much in that post or do I just say it way too much in all my posts?

God Bless

I can't figure out a lot of things lately. Here are my problems... because apparently bloggers are therapists. Oooh.. that's another hypothesis in the making.

One. I just got done adding up the blogging entries my students have written on our class blog, and some have gone NUTS with way over the amount I asked for.. while others didn't latch on. I think there are many elements to take into account (whether they like to get "online"... whether they found it valuable, whether blogger was being nice to them that day- username and passwords working, etc), but it still makes me wonder. So many are online doing other stuff, it seems odd to me (a passionate blogger, granted) that they wouldn't have time to jump over to blogger from, say, Blackboard, and comment on something someone has said, etc. I keep wondering if I am doing something wrong.

Problem Two. LOTS OF SNOW and a little bitty car. But, hey, at least NOW it looks like winter.

Problem Three. The path I need to take in writing this thesis. Do I start to write tidbits as I read, as I come to "good thoughts" (the ones that lightning produces?)? I thought it would be neat to write 4 pages for 10 days during break. I'd have 40 pages to work with!

Problem Four. How many of you will still blog over break? Hmm.. *itches melon*

Problem Five. Saddam's capture. Now what? I want our troops HOME.
