Woo, alright I'm back. I just haven't been sitting in front of my computer as much as I used to. It may be the weather, it may be messages aliens are beaming into my head, or it may even be that my desk is so messy that it frightens me.

What would be the best method for us to go about making me 1 dollar richer? I could try to make it to your office some time when you're in.

I'm thankful for:
The Internet that I can get tangled in for hours
The University Lutheran Center for giving me a roof over my head
God for being alive and active in the world everyday
Quentin Tarintino for making Kill Bill so freakin awesome
The guys who make Penny-Arcade for reminding my every MWF why I enjoy playing video games
Think Geek for having geeky stuff.

God Bless

Wow. I can totally tell that the end of the semester is nearing. My students definitely are getting into "it's the end of the semester, who cares" attitude even though I know SOME of 'em like my class. AND all of you bloggers have fallen off the planet. I will rescue you...

Will any of you survive the move to an NDSU server... hmph? I guess I'll find out. But, I miss you all... just you let you know. Seriously. It's no joke. And I still owe Dave a buck. Ooops.

So, I am thankful today for:
-Pants that I have bought in the past that miraculously still fit and, once dyed, they are brand new and fun.
-Students that take initiative.
-Haircolor that grows on you.
-Blogs, blogging, and bloggers.

I guess I am sort of Ticked Off that I planned to have a paper graded in my classes within three days. They handed in a paper while I was gone, and now I have to have 'em back to them by Thursday so they can all work on their Portfolios that are due next week! Sheesh. I think I can do it.

However, I do have a poster to design for a conference at the end of the month, and I have no idea what to do with it. I was going to do that this week, but maybe I'll have to save it for Friday so I can grade things.

I have a feeling that all these things will lead me to being more ticked off later in the week. But it's my own damn fault.

I am also a bit ticked off that my cold is somewhat gone, but I still have that mucus in my throat that requires me to swallow harder than normal. Erg.

Hey all. I am back, I'm back, I'm back.. and I owe Dave a buck!
Yup. I'm back from Texas with the endings of a cold, a brain full of stuff, and a pink cowboy hat. I never thought I'd own one. Huh.

It was one of the best conferences ever. A novel-like booklet of sessions, a hotel connected to a mall for de-stressing, and a huge variety of people: grad students, profs, private-sector folks, business people, transvestites (sp?), and bloggers.

Some downsides: the prices of things, people not showing up to sessions, and the air-conditioning even though it was a fabulous 80 degrees outside. I brought shorts and definitely needed pants while inside at anytime. Sheesh.

Now back to the nitty gritty life left in this semester. I have 2 more conferences.. well, 1.5 really, papers to grade, and bills to sort out. But.. I missed the safe Midwest, I missed my car and cat and boyfriend, and I missed... blogging.
