WHERE IS EVERYONE? Knock knock... anybody home?

Well, you all may have to deal without me for a bit. I'll be MIA from Wed to Sun. They "say" we'll have internet access in our hotel rooms, but I don't know if my iBook wants to travel again. I worry about dropping her all the time.

Besides that, my brain hurts. I don't think I tickled it with a Q-tip like the copy editor in the Rectrum did.. I can still do math.. sort of. (If you didn't read the Rectum, you HAVE TO. It's a fun time!)

I missed Freebie Friday.. so my Freebie is this: The person who blogs the most next week (Sun 4-Thursday 8) will get a whole dollar from me. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but when I find a quarter on the ground I feel cool. A dollar is four quarters. See, I can still do my math, Kristi (<-- copy editor).

I want to thank whoever got me presenting at this massive conference next week. I went to download the program for the PCA/ACA and it is a LONG sucker. Seriously. There are probably 20 presentations going on at any given time at this thing. And it's constant from Wed to Saturday night. I am going to come back with a big head... no, not egotistic big head, but a big head full of information. There are way too many presentations I want to go to. One on Emerson that I saw.. another on hip hop music in Germany. INSANITY. I am so lucky. Thank you to whoever made this possible. Plus, I get to be surrounded by bloggin' geeks too.

I wish I could give plasma without having to pump it out of myself little by little. Then again, the only part I don't like is when they stick me with the needle. I can look at the needle BEFORE it goes in, and I can look at it stuck in my vein, but I can't watch 'em PUT it in.

Isn't that WEIRD?

Howdy all. (Getting ready for visiting Texas next week.)
Okay....
Ticked off Tuesday is just not in my attitude right now.. but I have a few items of business:
1.Snotty girls that play volleyball on the other teams we play. Our team is weird and goofy and I think it bothers other teams when we KICK their BUTTS but have TONS of fun doing so. We are, as of last night's victories, 21-3. We rule.
2.Armpits that don't stay nice-smelling even when I apply deordorant A LOT. Maybe this has something to do with running around like an idiot on a court for 2 hours too. Ya think?
3.Waiting for chinese. I am trying to starve myself a little for a chinese buffet date with friends later... it's tough.

Lastly,
I am ticked off because I have everything in my HEAD as to what I want to present at the Texas conference, but I still have to put it on paper. Erg. Can't you photocopy your own melon?

I remember when I was in high school, and I thought that everything would get easier when I was "older" and on my own. I remember thinking- "oh sure, I'll have to pay taxes, but everything will fall into place: I'll go to college, become an architect, marry another architect, have babies, buy a house, have a dog, etc." It was as if I thought all these things just fell into place naturally. Not that I didn't have to work for them, but that just by being older they would all happen. AND that all those things would make me happy too.

Those were the days of allusion.

Then again, I remember when I was about five, and I killed a whole tank full of goldfish too. Some things never change.

Hey ya'll.

Chuck- AWESOME lyrics. YAY! I love that song.
Jeremiah- I worked for Sundog last summer doing editing for a Microsoft job they were doing. It was rough (in a repetitive way), but the pay ruled. And the people were awesome too. I am just not a corporate-job type of person. Good luck to you.

Wonder if I should take the chance of starting up my aquarium again after the genocide of goldfish?... I just can't kill anymore. I think I'll do something less hurtful and go by groceries. I have been on this toast kick. Toast, at any time of day, with chunky peanut butter and different weird jams.
